Payments

How payments work

There are two separate costs when using Catwalk Dropship: your app subscription and the product costs for each order. Here's how it all works.

Cost 1: App Subscription

Billed through Shopify

Your monthly subscription fee covers access to the product catalogue, Shopify integration, stock sync, and support. It's billed through your Shopify invoice — no separate payment needed.

Choose the tier that fits your catalog:

0 published productsFree
Up to 20 published products$39/month
Up to 100 published products$65/month
100+ published products$100/month

Publish more products and your tier goes up. Remove products and it goes down. No manual plan changes needed. Browsing stays free at 0 linked products.

Cost 2: Product & Shipping

Paid per order

When a customer places an order on your Shopify store, you pay the wholesale cost of the product plus a shipping fee. This is completely separate from your subscription and is only charged when you actually make a sale.

What you pay per order:

Product wholesale costShown in catalogue
Standard shipping (2-3 days)From £3.95
Express shipping (next day)From £5.95
Premium shipping (DPD next day)From £7.95

You set your own retail price when importing products. The difference between your retail price and the wholesale cost + shipping is your profit.

See how the numbers work

Here's a real example of how you make money with Catwalk Dropship.

Example: Selling a dress

Customer pays you
£24.99

Your costs:

Wholesale cost of dress-£10.94
Standard shipping (Royal Mail)-£3.95
Total cost to you-£14.89
Your profit
£10.10

In this example, the difference is £10.10. You control the retail price, and the wholesale cost is always visible in the catalogue before publishing.

Two ways to pay for orders

Choose whichever method works best for you. These merchant order-cost payments are processed through Stripe; app subscription billing stays inside Shopify Billing, and customer checkout stays on Shopify.

Wallet

Recommended

Pre-fund your wallet with a balance, then pay for orders quickly with one click. No waiting for card processing on every order.

Instant payments — orders are paid immediately from your balance

Deposit any amount — add £10 to £1,000 per top-up

Full transaction history — see every deposit, payment, and adjustment

How it works: Go to Billing, click Add Funds, choose an amount, and your saved card is charged. The balance appears in your wallet immediately and can be used to pay for orders.

Saved Card

Save a debit or credit card and pay for each order individually. Your card is securely stored by Stripe — we never see your full card number.

Pay per order — your card is charged when you click Pay

Secure storage — card details stored by Stripe, PCI compliant

3D Secure supported — extra authentication when your bank requires it

How it works:Go to Billing, add a card via Stripe's secure form. When an order comes in, go to Orders, select the order, and click Pay with Card.

What happens when a customer orders

The whole process is straightforward. Here's the step-by-step flow.

1

Customer places an order

A customer buys a product from your Shopify store. They pay your retail price. The order automatically appears in your Catwalk Dropship dashboard.

2

You pay the wholesale cost

Go to your Orders page and click on the order. You'll see the wholesale cost and shipping fee. Pay with your wallet balance or saved card. The difference between what your customer paid and what you pay us is your profit.

3

We ship from our UK warehouse

Once paid, our team picks, packs, and ships the order from our UK warehouse. Standard delivery takes 2-3 business days. Next-day options are available.

4

Customer gets tracking

A tracking number is added to the order and synced to your Shopify store. Your customer receives an automatic shipping notification with tracking details. They never see Catwalk Dropship's name.

Secure payments

Order-cost payments and wallet top-ups are processed through Stripe, a PCI-certified payment processor. We never store your full card details — they're held securely by Stripe. App subscription charges are processed through Shopify Billing.
